I’ve been able to travel quite a bit over the years, and while I’m by no means an expert photographer, I try to take a camera with me wherever I go.
I’ve put some of my favourite photos up on Flickr, and really like seeing the number of views my photos get there (currently over 75,000 in total). I’ll share some of my favourites here, and go into a bit more detail about where they where taken and when, and the story behind the photo.
Quite a few of the places I’ve been to are now very much off-limits (Iran, Pakistan, Afghanistan, and even parts of Turkey and Brazil), so my record of experiences of these places – almost all very favourable – is a way to try and strike a balance between what you see on TV, and what it’s really like there.
