After a quick but eventful visit to Northern Ireland and the Republic over the summer, some of my photos are finally up online to view here. Some of the pictures capture the peaceful countryside atmosphere of Fermanagh and Enniskillen, where we stayed, but you never have to look too far to find a reminder of the darker side of the region’s history. Aside from the Troubles, we were lucky enough to have a guided tour of Portora Royal School in Enniskillen, where such notable alumi as Oscar Wilde, Samuel Beckett and Neil Hannon all studied.
